How to Use Dr Water Loo

Before application, crush the tablets so the treatment can spread faster through the toilet system.
Add the crushed tablets directly into the pit, toilet, inlet or septic tank access point.
Where possible, add a few litres of water afterwards. This helps move the treatment into the waste area and supports faster activation.
Repeat treatment every 7–10 days, depending on how many people use the toilet system. Busy toilets should be treated more often.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: To ensure maximum effectiveness, do not use this product in conjunction with harsh chemical cleaners such as Jik, Jeyes Fluid, OMO, Sunlight liquid, or strong bleaches. These chemicals will destroy the natural microbes and stop the waste breakdown process
Pit Latrines / Long Drops
Use:
1 white tablet + 1 brown tablet
Application:
Crush both tablets and drop the crushed treatment directly into the pit latrine or long-drop toilet. The treatment must go straight into the waste area where the build-up, smell and flies are coming from.
Add a few litres of water afterwards if available. This helps the crushed tablets move down into the pit and spread through the waste layer.
Best for:
Pit toilets, long drops, rural toilets, informal settlement toilets and systems with no outlet or drainage pipe.
Repeat:
Every 7–10 days. For toilets used by many people, repeat every 7 days.
Large Septic Tanks
For septic tanks above 3,000 litres
Use:
1 × 20-litre Dr Water Loo treatment
+ 3 white activation tablets
How to Use
Open the 20-litre Dr Water Loo container.
Add all 3 white tablets into the liquid.
Let the tablets activate the treatment. Mix gently if possible.
Pour the full 20 litres directly into the septic tank.
Add a few litres of water afterwards if available.
Repeat
For schools and busy community toilets:
Repeat every 7 days.
For lower-use large tanks:
Repeat every 7–10 days.
Best For
Schools, community toilets, rural facilities, public-use septic tanks and places without proper plumbing.
Supports
Reduces bad smells, flies, sludge build-up and helps keep the toilet system cleaner and more dignified.
Small Septic Tanks
Use:
1 white tablet + 1 brown tablet per treatment pack
Use according to the size and usage level of the tank.
Application:
Crush the tablets and flush them through the toilet, or add them directly into the septic tank inlet or inspection opening. The treatment must reach the septic tank where the waste is collected.
After adding the crushed tablets, flush again or add a few litres of water to help the treatment move into the tank. This is useful for small household or farm systems where the tank is connected by a pipe.
Best for:
Homes, farms, lodges, small clinics, small schools, staff toilets and low-to-medium use septic systems.
Repeat:
Every 7–10 days. If the system smells bad or is used often, repeat every 7 days.
